We count page views and where visits come from, and estimate how many separate visitors we get each day, to understand how the site is doing. The counting runs on our own server and sets no cookies. To estimate visitors, it makes a temporary identifier from each visitor’s IP address and browser type; this identifier is reset every day, and the IP address itself is not stored in the statistics. The statistics are aggregated, kept on our own server for up to 13 months, and not sold or shared.
